Project ID: 54224

Description

PolyMC

PolyMC has been subject to a hostile takeover.
The new person in charge is not trustworthy and has essentially screwed over the entire community. They now have the capabilities to host malicious files that could mess with your computer if he does not like you.
1.4.2-2 includes a change that gives back control to the core contributors of PolyMC and will probably be the last release on COPR.

Installation Instructions

For the time being use MultiMC.
PolyMC is not safe to use, this copr only continues to exist to prevent existing users from being messed with.
The contributors of PolyMC have moved on to a new launcher https://discord.gg/prismlauncher

Hey! Thanks for packaging this.
This package should recommend java-1.8.0-openjdk and java-latest-openjdk instead of java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless and java-latest-openjdk-headless
Older versions of minecraft will fail to launch due to libjawt.so not being included in the headless packages of OpenJDK (At least on Fedora).

Upon further investigation this is true, older versions of LWJGL used Java’s Native Interfaces.
This is no longer the case for modern versions, but mods have a tendency to still use it (even if the usage of it is frowned up).
I’ll update the recommendations to the non headless variants.

Hi! I would suggest that this repo becomes defunct and a new repo is made for Prism Launcher, which is the fork by the developers removed during the Github takeover. Thank you for the work you’ve done!
